Past Events

The small group, nel Canto, will perform  during the First Friday event in downtown Adrian, Michigan on Friday, December 1, 2017.  The group will perform songs at the Governor Croswell Tea Room, and also at the Adrian Armory. Check back closer to this date, as the First Friday schedule is not set yet; however events normally run from 5-8 pm that evening, and the group will perform during the times announced on the First Friday marketing information. Please join us as we have a combined performance on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 7:30 pm between Chiaroscuro Men's Chorus and the Carillon Women's Chorale, for our holiday concert at the Holy Rosary Chapel, Adrian Dominican Motherhouse, east of Siena Heights University. Enter through the Madden Hall entrance. Our performance begins at 7:30 pm, with fine musical selections by both groups. A freewill offering will be accepted.

We continue our holiday concert series with another performance on Saturday, December 16, 2017. The combined concert features Chiaroscuro Community Men's Chorus and Carillon Women's Chorale, at the First Presbyterian Church of Saline, Michigan. This will be an evening performance, with the exact time to be updated here soon. A freewill offering will be accepted.

Open Auditions and Rehearsals for the upcoming season are held during the month of January, 2018. Men with changed voices who are interested in joining the group are encouraged to attend any or all of the January rehearsals. Potential members must be able to match pitches are be willing to work outside of rehearsal to learn their vocal parts (recordings of choral parts will be provided). We are honored to present a combined performance of Carillon Women's Chorale and Chiaroscuro Community Men's Chorus Concert, at Collingwood Presbyterian Church, Toledo, Ohio, on Saturday, April 28, 2017 at 7:30 pm.

The IHM Chapel Concert Series will include a joint performance of Chiaroscuro Community Men’s Chorus and Carillon Women's Chorale on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at 3:00 pm at IHM St. Mary's Chapel, Monroe, Michigan.

Save the date for our Fifth Anniversary Celebration! Chiaroscuro has been performing for five years, and we will have a special concert to celebrate. The performance is scheduled for 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at the Holy Rosary Chapel, Adrian Dominican Motherhouse, east of Siena Heights University.
